Crucifix
Haven't been going for almost two months
Alot has changed.
My Youth Fellowship is kinda going into decline.
The musicians are still inexperienced, which is fine...it's just that they don't seem that passionate about their music compared to their previous counterparts (No offence)
And most of the older members are all leaving. For studies or work
One after the other.
2 more are leaving today.
Many more are following.
Which is depressing...
Also, there are two of my friends there whose mothers are suffering from cancer.
So the atmosphere there has darkened somewhat.
On a more positive note:
My group CY5 has a new leader, Xian Chang to replace our last one (Fish) who left last week
And my cell group members all still kinda close, even after almost 4 years
Hope things get better for everyone

Sleeping Beauty
From my Schoolmates to my Church friends to my Chess buddies.
My old love interests were also there *ahem*
Met some old friends that I haven't seen for a year(s)
Ainaa Shafinaz, Gary Tan and Chan Wei Shin were among them
Kirsten from my Youth picked me up, along with Debbie, Kai Bing and Rachel.
I actually hoped to walk into the hall with them.
You know...one guy and four girls.
The whole thorn among the roses kinda thing.
(which would have been cool...)
Didn't happen.
I looked down at my shoes for three seconds...and they were already halfway across the parking lot (maybe they were on to me?)
I was also seriously overdressed.
I actually wore the shirt I intended for the Prom, which I heard kinda sucked. Lucky me
To be honest, I only really enjoyed the earlier parts of the ballet, namely the Malay/Ballet fusion thingy, which was pretty imaginative...reminds me of SMC's TradiMode
and
Ooh ee ooh ah ah
(Witch Doctor...XD)
Anyway, the dancing for Sleeping Beauty was just okay...
The segments were too long, so I kinda lost concentration halfway
The girls were hot. The dresses were colourful. And the wicked fairy was A GUY!
(Charles Pooley, who's a director at Hairforce Saloon and Academy. He did my hair once)
Oh yeah
Something else happened that night...which is kinda personal for me and the person/people involved.
The night ended after supper with Kirsten and the girls at the Stadium foodcourt. Others from the ballet were also there
No photos this time

Run Faster
Should have booked earlier. But I didn't think I would be going until a couple of days ago
How sad. Maybe I'll go for the ballet instead
-Mark-
Run
Can't find a date, so I'm going solo...
and hopefully I won't end up spending the night alone
Can't seem to find anything half decent to wear either.
What the heck do they mean by formal attire?
Trying to get over her

Stolen Hearts
The architecture is amazing, the food is amazing, the ocean is amazing AND THE WOMEN!!!
...
are also amazing
*sigh*
Anyway, as usual...I lost weight.
3 days of Penang cuisine, SUSHI, Spaghetti at Secret Recipe, seafood and enough junk food to satisfy your average American
...
and I lost more weight. Not much, just a couple of pounds or so
(must be the stress)
Speaking of which, I also played a chess tournament while I was there.
-Penang Open-
Stayed at Marcus Yeoh's house.
He's an official FIDE Instructor, which is kinda cool...cause we don't have alot of them here in Malaysia.
He also acted as our tour guide. Took us shopping, to popular tourist sites and famous food stalls
Anyway, the tournament was more or less a success for me. I won't bore you with the details here. Pictures on my Facebook (spam my Cbox if you want the link)

and another one next Tuesday (Penang Open)
Means I'll be skipping Youth again.
Haven't seen my friends at church for almost a month
Keeping busy this holiday

there is now this cool new Widget that I just added.
But since my blog was getting a bit messy, I decided to remove my music playlist in favour of the Tag Cloud.
Let me know what you think. Spam my cBox

Selamat Hari Guru
Being concerned tax payers, some of my classmates and I organized a sort of committee to decide on how our money would be best spent
A small part of the conversation is as follows:
AD: So hey, what do ya'll wanna get for our class teacher?
CK: a pencil box
MS: or just the pencils...
AT: too expensive lah!
CK: then...?
MS: we should give her the same present as Karpal Singh
AT: what's that?
MS: live bullets
LOL
AD: How about a pen?
MS: we could find a broken one on the floor and put it together with cello-tape and rubber bands
CK: or send her a card lah
AT: saying "Teacher, I hate you!"
CK: So bad lah...
I actually just wanted my money back...

Cursed
First, I accidentally broke a table at school by sitting on it...
In my defence, that table was already messed up
And the manner in which I broke the table was...very embarrassing
Others will be blogging about it too, so I'd rather not mention it here.
They took pictures...
And that's not even the worse part.
After recess, I went up to class late. When I got there, one of my friends told me
"Mark, you're going to die"
I thought he was joking, so I asked him what happened.
The conversation is as follows(more or less):
"Just now, there was a helluvalot of Indians who came looking for you"
"WTF? What for...?"
"I dunno, but they are like...damn pissed at you for something. You better follow teacher out of school later. They will be waiting for you outside after school"
"..."
I still thought he was joking (or lying). Until...
A boy from my class came back and told me that he overheard the Indian boys in other classes planning to whack me up or something. At that point, I felt it would be wise to assess the situation
So I went to an Indian guy in my class:
"What's happening lah?"
"You ah! What the hell you saying about us?"
"Huh...? What are you talking about?"
"You were telling, F*ck all Indians just now right?"
"WTH? No lah...I wasn't even here"
Anyway, he wasn't convinced. He just told me that they would be looking for me after school.
I couldn't concentrate on my Sivik & Kewarganegaraan test paper (like I cared anyway)
So, after the paper...we were allowed to go home early.
And they came in numbers I couldn't believe.
I swear there was like 30 or 40 of them(felt that way anyway)
Everyone told me to run. But I was like...
this is bullshit
I didn't do anything wrong, right?
Take my word on this: I have nothing against the Indians.
If you people are reading this: I have NO PROBLEM with you people. Someone is spreading lies about me. So, come on lah. You got the wrong guy
So I went over to them. Some were carrying helmets for God's sake. One guy put his arms around me and told me
"Don't scared wei...we just want to talk"
oh shit...I'm dead
But after some explaining to 2, 3 fellers. They kinda got the message and let me go. At the end of the corridor, my 'friends' were waiting for me.
"Hey Mark...you're alive wei!!!"
But they were still waiting for me at the front gate.
Luckily, I go home late on Fridays...but I found out from some friends that they still wanted to confront me.
What the hell wei...it's like I got some seriously bad karma from my past life or something.
I don't think it's over yet. Probably have to talk to them again on Monday

And the new American Idol is...
WTH happened? Adam totally outdid Kris all throughout the competition and the finale was no exception
It's because he's gay...isn't it?
Anyway...it's not the end of the world.
Kris was still a great competitor and he's...nice
nice??
...
But why didn't Adam WIN???!!!
WHY WHY WHY WHY???
I suppose you don't get everything in life...
at least Obama won the elections...

Age of Examinations
I hear the clicking of pens,
the creaking of fans,
the whispers of joy and dismay
The drumming of tables,
remembering fables,
formulas and notes read today
The coughs and the sneezes,
infectious diseases,
the teachers are seeking their prey
Some know the answers,
some just pass notes,
and others just sit down and pray
The joyful and sad,
the good and the bad,
confined at their tables to stay
They all come together,
for worse or for better,
and sit for examination day

Omg...
Oh yeah, Nizar is no longer the Perak MB anymore...I don't quite understand how a decision that took 3 months to make could be reversed by a single day of appeals.
Democracy is dead. And just when I thought that our country was making progress
Btw, the new Form 6 girls are looking good. XD

This is Democracy
The Kuala Lumpur High Court just declared that Nizar is now Perak's legitimate Menteri Besar.
Now that's what I call Democracy. To Freedom and Justice for all!!!
Even the air smells sweeter...
On a more negative note,
today is the first day of my mid-year exams. Many more days of torment to come.
If Nizar can abolish examinations in schools, I would vote for him to be PM. Seriously

Worth It
As usual...another emo song
And I haven't come up with the music for this song or the previous one...yet
(that's Samuel's job)
No storyline for this one...the lyrics pretty much explain themselves.
Based on personal experiences? You never know
WORTH IT
(Verse 1)
Were you worth the pain and suffering?
Of my darkest days, hear the angels sing...
The lights fade out and I turn away,
cause there's nothing to live for anyway
(Chorus)
When my world crashes around me,
and you tell me that you're sorry,
I ask myself the question:
Were you worth it?
Were you worth it?
(Verse 2)
So I play our song inside my head,
eyes look up, but the heart is dead,
illusions shattered, choices made,
some too soon, and some too late
(Chorus)
When my world crashes around me,
and you tell me that you're sorry,
I ask myself the question:
Were you worth it?
Were you worth it?
(Verse 3)
Heard you whisper in my ear,
hold me steady, calm my fears,
you are everything that I hold dear,
until you disappeared
(Bridge)
When I look up, you're not there,
and I fall into despair,
watching you, wanting you
seeing you act like you don't care...
(Chorus)
When my world crashes around me,
don't tell me that you're sorry,
I ask myself the question:
Were you worth it?
Were you worth it?

Tales from the Beyond
Bullshit. I serve no one
Anyway, just watched the 8:00 news.
This country is going to hell.
Local news is sounding more and more like a mixture between an obituary and a cartoon show.
So, to be on the safe side.
-Don't pray for our country's political crisis (you might get arrested)
-Don't wear Black (you might get arrested)
-Don't talk about Altantuya (you WILL get arrested)
-Don't sing the Negaraku out of tune (you SHOULD get arrested)
Interesting thought:
What happens if a Malay dude gets Swine flu? Do the authorities treat him or do they just arrest him?

Ouch!
When you have the ball...everyone remembers your name
Last week, a vet came to my house to perform surgery on my cat (so it can't breed anymore)
My parents felt it was necessary after she gave birth to her 6th litter in 2 years.
So some Indian guy came, tranquilized my poor cat and shaved off a patch of it's fur.
I didn't stay to see the surgery...
And the ****** kept answering his phone while operating on MY cat.
Needless to say, my cat was thoroughly pissed when she woke up.
The very next day, she dug her claws into my dad's hand.
On a more positive note, I'm learning a couple of new piano songs from YouTube
-Requiem for a dream, from Lord of the Rings and
-He's a pirate, from Pirates of the Caribbean
Said the blogger to the writer:
The keyboard is mightier than the pen

Don't Disappear
It tells a story about a guy whose girlfriend died in a car accident
So he sings to her, hoping that wherever she is, she can hear him
I was feeling emo
But I hope you like it
Please give me some feedback. Thanks

DON'T DISAPPEAR
By Mark
Verse 1
Run towards you,
say I love you,
but you're so far away
Separated, suffocated,
I will look for you,
blinded by the light,
I tried to fight,
don't disappear...
CHORUS
Scream my heart and soul,
love takes it's toll,
but I will wait,
Hear me shout your name,
I take the blame,
don't disappear...
Verse 2
Hold you in my arms,
until the calm,
takes you away
Did you hear my voice?
and made your choice,
I'll see you again
CHORUS
Scream my heart and soul,
I lose control,
why can't heaven wait?
Hear me shout your name,
I take the blame
please don't disappear...
Verse 3
When tears fail to express,
go get some rest,
I'll join you some day
So, when you get there,
pull up a chair,
and save a seat for me
CHORUS
Scream my heart and soul,
love takes it's toll
but I can wait
Hear me call your name,
It's still the same,
don't disappear...
please don't disappear...
Tag...YOU'RE IT
Do I really need to reveal more?
Oh well...here we go again
1. Do you have any secrets?
Yes, plenty. But I can't tell you...that would defeat the purpose of having a secret.
2. Have you ever tried not eating anything for a few days?
Few days? Would I even be alive to write this if I did?
3. Do you enjoy going to school?
Sometimes. Most of my friends are there. But so are the teachers.
4. Coffee or more coffee?
I drink sometimes. But I don't really like it. I prefer my caffeine in a coke can
5. Laughter or forever smiles?
I disagree with Weisoon here. I think laughter is superficial, but a smile means so much more.
6. Who is more important, lover or best friends?
Can't answer this...they are equally important. You can't live a meaningful life without either one of them
7. What made you smile today?
Watching my cat do tricks
8. The person you like is already attached, what will you do?
Everything I can...if that person is important enough to me
9. Angelic or Devilish?
Me? I suppose I incline more to the Devilish side.
10. How would you see yourself in 10 years time?
At age 26? Hopefully I would have a good job(or a business), an apartment of my own and someone special to share it with
11. Who is currently the most important person to you?
Not so sure anymore...
12. What is the most important thing in your life?
Right now? My laptop and my handphone. Sounds pathetic right?
13. Are you single or attached?
Single
14. What is your favourite colour?
I have two. Black and White
15. What is your wish?
That is a secret (please refer to question 1)
16. Have you wondered what would happen afterlife?
Yeah. I hope I can become a shinigami (like in Bleach)
17. Would you forgive and forget no matter how horrible a thing someone has done to you?
Forgive? Yes...Forget? Never
18. Which do you prefer, spending time with family members or with close people who understands you most?
My family members are weird
19. What is your biggest regret of life
Screwing up my chances with 'her'
20. 5 people you're gonna tag
I rather not
Falling Slowly
Falling Slowly
A really great song by American Idol finalist Kris Allen.

Tactical (part 2)
I can understand why he's bored...poor kid only has a handphone to keep him company
And the nurses, although very friendly, probably contribute to the rising number of hospital fatalities.
LOL
Sunny was pressing the 'Patient Distress Button' to get some painkillers.
The nurses didn't come until 5-10 minutes later.
By that time, a patient could have suffocated, bled out, had a seizure and/or died
But I must reaffirm that they were very, very friendly.
Just that their response time leaves much to be desired.
Anyway, he seems to be in some serious pain.
So I talked and talked and talked to keep his mind off things.
Should have confused him enough to last several days...

Tactical
Sunny Phang is currently in Fatimah Hospital after breaking his leg by doing a front flip in the school field.
(They don't call it breakdancing for nothing)
Anyway, he's scheduled for minor surgery later today.
So please say a quick prayer for him.
Actually, if you think about it...there's no such thing as minor surgery.
Surgery is surgery
School is damn, freakin boring without him...
so pray that he makes a quick recovery for my sake

Family of Misfits
It was THAT bad.
I couldn't help laughing my head off. As a result, I was reprimanded by the discipline master later during his class.
I seem to be using the word 'discipline master' alot recently.
Maybe the rebellious side of me is coming out?
Oh yeah, my cat gave birth...again.
I found 2 kittens (1 grey and 1 brown) sitting on my doorstep this afternoon.
-The brown one is named Gandhi
-The grey one is Mandela
See? I'm not a racist

End of Me
Didn't do so well this time...
Arrived in Ipoh at 1:00 am Monday morning
Slept in school the whole day
Also, saw Sonia last week at my school.
She was taking part in some 'Pertandingan Puisi & Lagu'
Haven't seen her for almost 3 years now...so it was good to finally see her again
Currently into Russell Peters right now. The guy is a genius. Makes me laugh every time. Unfortunately for my friends, I memorized entire videos of his jokes and recite them everyday at school
(playing chess has blessed me with an excellent memory...for unimportant details)
My social and academic life is as usual, down the toilet bowl...
I no longer believe that love is always enough
And considering the state of our country's political situation...
even Iraq looks like a safer place to live

Afraid to look
And I'm talking pure loathing/contempt/livid/ good ol' fashioned hatred here
But that's okay...I hate him too
Today, he falsely accused me of skipping class...during marching practice.
And he only saw me during recess.
So, I got sent to ANOTHER discipline master, who I like better (at least he's fair). So my name is now on record, blacklisted. And my offence? (LOL)
"Tidak memberi kerjasama dengan menghadiri kawat kaki"
At least that was what was written on the form.
Which I had to sign for btw...

Buying in, Selling out
I also won the best 1st Board Trophy (again)
I'm running out of space for my trophies...
Anyway, I've been sick this whole week.
Haven't eaten a decent meal in ages.
Went to the Old Town Kopitiam opposite my school for lunch...
With a name like Old Town, you would think that a bowl of noodles would cost like, 5 sens or something. But I ended up spending around RM6 for nasi lemak.
Almost forgot I was living in Malaysia
Perhaps the concept of Old Town was inspired by the Japanese occupation era.
But even then...the food was cheaper
I couldn't even finish my lunch...

I know
I'm not sure what happened.
But you'll still be able to understand it by reading slowly
-Mark-
We're just riding shotgun
LOL
But seriously, they are a constant source of entertainment and amusement in my otherwise kinda boring school
For example:
-An Indian Discipline Master during a speech
So I scolded a Chinese boy...and you know what he said?
He said: Sir, you are racist
How can I be racist?? I only whack Indian fellers lah
I guess he doesn't know that you can be racist towards your own kind as well. Strange but true.
Another example:
-Another Discipline Master during class
DM: Class, I want all of you to buy a pink manila card folder for your next lesson
Student: Sir, can you buy for us?
DM: You CRAZY ah? You think I do things like this ah??? Oooohhh....I know what you all are planning. You want to call ACA and tell them that I'm charging you all 5 sen extra RIGHT??!! YOU CANNOT CHEAT ME!!!!
Paranoid feller right...?
And, sometimes...the students can be pretty funny as well.
Here comes the example:
-In Chemistry class
Teacher: HEY. You cannot drink in my class
Me: I'm not drinking...I'm determining the molar mass for H2O
There is always a right answer for every question
and a second example:
-During Sivik & Kewarganegaraan class
Teacher: Why aren't you doing your work?
Student: I've done it before at my Sivik tuition...
Sivik tuition?? What the hell is that??

MSSM 2009
Just came back from MSSM in Klang.
Got 10th placing for Under-18 boys.
So I came home with a medal, a winners certificate and a thank you from the glorious state of Perak
The hostel was terrible
-The bathrooms had no water...and no doors.
-There was an obscene picture drawn on my mattress...along with several dead insects.
-Mosquitoes almost wiped out half the Perak team
-those who survived were nearly poisoned by the food
But on the whole, I still had a good time. The state team and the tournament was fairly well organized. And I made plenty of friends from other states (all boys)
The Perak team did kinda well compared to previous years.

Within or without
Sometimes it would be simpler,
to wear a mask in White or Black,
It's really that much easier,
than facing my fears, or watching my back
__________
Emotions used to come in many colours,
but now they come in grey,
to drown my sorrows in the music,
or dance the night away?
__________
Nothing I ever did made a diference,
seems to be nothing I can say,
best to know when I've finally lost her,
and live with that everyday

Back here Baby
Baby set me free
From this misery
I can't take it no more
Since you ran away
Nothing's been the same
Don't know what I'm living for
Here I am, so alone
And there's nothing in this world I can do
[Chorus]
Until you're back here, baby
Miss you, want you, need you so
Until you're back here, baby, yeah
There's a feeling inside I want you to know
You are the one and I can't let you go
So I told you lies
Even made you cry
Baby, I was so wrong
Girl, I promise you
Now my love is true
This where my heart belongs
'Cos here I am, so alone
And there's nothing in this world I can do
[Chorus]
And I wonder
Are you thinking of me
`Cos I'm thinking of you
And I wonder
Are you ever coming back in my life
`Cos here I am, so alone
And there's nothing in this world I can do
[Chorus]

Anyway,
I'm still the champion with 12 and a half points, ahead of the rest by a clear 2 points.
Looking good so far....

And I'll need to go for Centralized Training this coming Wednesday.
Then I'm off to Klang for the MSSM

With a SHINING Gold Medal from MSSPK(chess)
Honest to God, I'm too freakin tired to blog about the details right now. So, I'm planning to blog about it sometime later, change my mind, and not blog about it at all.
Also, I haven't been to school in 3 days...

Don't get White, get Even...
There's some bad news too I'm afraid.
Bad news first:
It seems that I'm not even qualified to GO FOR the Prefect Interview because some delightful teacher put pressure on the Prefectorial Board to get me kicked out.
(as far as I know...I could be wrong here)
Anyway, let's forget that and move on to the story:
Once upon a time...
It was during recess. I had been lining up at the nasi lemak stall for the past 5 bloody minutes, starving hungry.
You should know by now that I'm a good boy and I don't jump the queue
(The 4 prefects standing around me had nothing to do with it. NOTHING).
Anyhow, it's been 5 minutes...felt like 50 and I'm only halfway up the queue.
Then this sonuvabitch (sorry James...you're alright) who's like, half British or something just walks over to the beginning of the line and starts ordering food. The prefects must have been blinded by his bright, white skin.
Until I started shouting...
Mark: CELAKA!!! Kenapa orang putih boleh potong queue ??? Saya membantah dengan SEKERAS-KERASNYA. Sejak BN menjadi kerajaan, semua orang menjadi corrupt ke?
...and I continue in this fashion for a good 30 seconds. Suddenly, much to my surprise...
Makcik Nasi Lemak: NAH! Ambil ini!!!
(thrusts a plate of Nasi Ayam into my hands, takes my $$$ and walks away)
I start laughing. Everyone starts laughing. I feel I've achieved something in the war against corruption. I walk away victorious.
Later, I go back to apologize to the makcik just in case she's seriously pissed off. She makes damn good nasi lemak. I can't afford to have her angry at me.
Mark: Wahai...minta maaf tentang tadi ya?
Makcik Nasi Lemak: Hah? Kenapa?
Mark: Tadi saya mengamuk seperti bangau...
Makcik Nasi Lemak: (Laughs) Takpe lah
See? No harm done

Valentines of the Broken-Hearted
_____I need...
______I wait...
_______I feed...
on empty promises and broken dreams,
of lonely tomorrow's and shredded seams,
To remain? Or forget?
To be maimed? Or regret?
Such thoughts reside in the minds of the unloved,
consuming everything, from the inside out
Wait no longer, want nothing, need no one, and feed on everything
and you'll never be disappointed again...
Just hollow inside
-Mark-
God Mode...almost
Anyway, I'm trying to purchase a pair of SMC (Main Convent) school socks and sell it to all the lifeless, desperate, lonely guys at my school for an astronomical profit (they come in numbers greater than you think).
You can start placing your bids on my Cbox. This sale will be conducted through an auction, with the pair of socks going to the highest bidder.
I also considered getting the hottest girls of SMC to wear the socks first before I repackaged them, but I decided against it. However, if that sort of thing turns you on (and only if you're planning to actually buy them)...it can be arranged.

Cause that's how I Roll...
More expenses, less income.
Not doing anything for Valentine.
Still got a bloody basket full of mandarin oranges left uneaten.
And my bamboo plant DIED
>.<''
On the top side,
my personal life is not in chaos anymore.
It's still dying a slow, painfully prolonged death...but even that is a significant improvement over the alternative, which bordered close to suicide
I'm going to Youth today. I haven't gone in ages.
I've been derelict in my duties to the Lord. Forgive me
Btw, Judith's birthday was on the 5th (I think)...so HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDITH!!!

Blood Red Agatha
then truly I am a prisoner condemned to death...
Trapped within walls of my own creation,
surrounded by guards created by my mind,
I cannot escape
But even if I could, would I take it?
Like an animal born bred in captivity,
cursed to spent an entire lifetime,
ignorant of the meaning of freedom
Than to live such a life,
it would be much better to die,
At least you wouldn't have to suffer so much...

The Human Condition
Mark: Get a life, you freak
Anyway, I normally wouldn't waste time and effort on something like this.
But I just happen to actually like the people who tagged me...and there's the matter of blogging ethics that ties me to answering this
*sigh*
Let's begin with Jenny's 1st
Whoever who gets tagged has to write 10 things about the person who tagged him/her:
1.) Cute
2.) Very passionate about God
3.) Cares for her family alot (which is also cute)
4.) Determined
5.) Always smiling (like I said...cute)
6.) Good to her friends
7.) Probably would make a good girlfriend to some lucky guy one day
8.) Strong-willed
9.) Intelligent (exam results IS NOT an indication)
10.) Sports maniac?! I didn't know that...
The person who got tagged has to write 10 things about himself/herself:
Mark
1.) Cute...?
2.) Crazy, emo, katana swinging kid
3.) Vastly superior intellect
4.) Tries to be cool (with a 50% success rate)
5.) Beyond Godlike - Somebody stop him!!!
6.) Easily bored
7.) ...unless he finds something (or someone) that/who interests him
8.) Plays chess (I'm so sick of mentioning that)
9.) Self-taught pianist
10.) A total pro at getting girls...not so good at keeping them
Here's the twist, if I tagged you, and when you must write something about me, you can only take 5 or less from the above. the other 5 or more will have to be from you.
At the end you need to choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names:
No...the curse ends here
*Tag Ends*
Finally...
now for Wei Soon's Tag
Once you've been tagged, you have to
write a post with 16 random things, habits
or goals about you. At last, choose five people to be tagged.
Listing their names and the reason u choose them :)
1.) Omg...not again (16 this time?!)
2.) I have 2 ex girlfriends
3.) who don't like me anymore
4.) Contrary to popular belief, I only like 1 girl (1st February 2009)
5.) she doesn't like me either
6.) I used to bite my nails when I was younger
7.) until they started biting back
9.) I am easily angered
10.) but I calm down pretty easily as well
11.) I could do with some new clothes
12.) and a couple of new girlfriends
13.) I just wanna be loved
14.) but not by YOU (stupid)
15.) I am so glad this is almost finished
16.) FINISHED!!!
I TAG:
No one...
*Tag Ends*
I'm dying to go to sleep now.
School starts tomorrow.
May God have mercy on your souls.

Epitome of human Stupidity
'I still love you'
on Sonia's Cbox under MY name.
What an idiot...she didn't even fall for it.
But he has my sincere thanks, cause Sonia messaged me that night for the first time in years.
At least she knew it wasn't me, which is a good thing.
I should have treated her better...
And around 12:10 in the morning, Joel Lee called me (no one calls me anymore) to inform me of this unfortunate(or fortunate?) incident which I was already well aware of
All I can say is, that moron/idiot has good taste

Rappin' with da Lycans this CNY
Reached church at about 10:30 am. Due to Malaysian timing (which is always 10-20 minutes late), it took us about half an hour to get everyone together.
First stop: Sandra's house!
Carl and I were making (rather lame) jokes about Sandra's place, cause there is this big, kinda obvious CCTV aimed at the gate and spikes on the walls. Carl kept screaming "LOOK OUT FOR THE LANDMINES, LOOK OUT FOR THE LANDMINES!!!"
Once inside (no casualties due to exploding landmines were reported), we settled down to eat and drink. Sandra's infant brother kept bringing out snacks and stuff for us. I like that kid already.
Also, we played some card games and waited for our old CG leader to arrive (Andrea, who recently underwent surgery on his foot). There, we learned that Wen June couldn't come because her cousin got pregnant (uhuh...)
Received my Ang Pau with deep gratitude and humility.
Next stop: Fish's house!
I'm still not sure how he got the name 'Fish'. His real name is Foo Yi Wern.
We went to the TV room to play Mahjong. Fish kept telling us on the way that he wanted to play Mahjong with us and win all our money. But once we got there, he disappeared to take a shower and didn't return until we were ready to leave.
It's a small world we live in.
Turns out that Fiona stays not too far from Fish's place. After 'persuading' Sandra to come with me, we took a short walk to her house. She didn't look too thrilled to see me though.
I went with Sandra, Daniel (naturally) and Fish, who wanted another Ang Pau.
Fiona's house is guarded by these huge Lycan/Werewolf/Anubis/Sirius Black/DOGS who looked perfectly capable of taking my head off if they felt inclined to. Sandra wouldn't go near them...and Fiona wouldn't open the gate, so we walked back to Fish's car to our next destination.
Elaine's house!
Which I have never been in before. Only stayed there for a little while. Invaded her room, with Fish treating Elaine as his personal servant girl. Met her parents, and walked 12 houses away to:
Judith's house!
Where we ate lunch and hung out for the rest of the afternoon. The food (as usual) was good. We dared each other to taste Judith's grandmother's sambal. As it turned out, lunch was a dramatic affair, which ended with people crying...because of the sambal.
We also played this board game called 'Settlers of Catan' which was pretty cool, but I was more interested in her PS2. Played Tekken 5 with all the guys - Won 11 Lost 1 - which is not bad considering I haven't played Tekkan in more than a year.
And of course, as is tradition: we have to kneel before her parents to receive our Ang Pau. And they can request any type of performance they want from us.
There's gotta be an easier way to earn $$$...
I had to say Happy Chinese New Year in an Indian accent. I managed to pull it off convincingly (thank you Russell Peters). Others had to say it in different Chinese dialects. the rest had to greet her parents by RAPPING. Really hilarious...we recorded the moment using handphones and cameras. I hope Sandra sends the videos to me (and the pictures too)
After that, the others decided to go to a Cyber Cafe.
Elaine got excited about playing DotA...
I called it quits: Fish sent me home

Anime with Demons
I'm now reading a manga series by the title: Claymore
It's pretty good, I've been reading it this whole week.
Other decent manga (in my opinion) apart from the usual Bleach or Naruto are:
-Highschool of the Dead(not as bad as it sounds)
-Kingdom Hearts
-Basilisk
-Alive: The final evolution
-Parasyte
All available(free, btw) from: http://www.onemanga.com/

Red is the new Black
even though I know I'm not supposed to be...
What can I do?
When I see her in every sunset, and in every colour of everything beautiful and I can't help but think:
"I wish she was here with me"
On the opposite side, when things goes seriously, horribly wrong. When it all crashes before my eyes, I'm never worried
because I know she can make it better again
But, it's all too good to be true.
Because everytime I call her name, I realize...
She is everything I ever wanted and will never have

Spoils of war...
Had Pizza Hut at Tesco today. There's hardly anyone there, so the food comes pretty fast. Cozy, quaint little restaurant. Perfect for a Valentine's Day date.
Anyway, bought a new watch for RM15.90
Looks okay considering the price. Has the word 'Fuka' displayed as it's brand name (which was why I purchased it in the first place - profanity sells)
Also, committed my first criminal offence a few minutes ago - Shoplifting.
Stole a small bamboo shoot which had already fallen off one of those 'Lucky Bamboo' thingys for CNY. I'm now keeping it at home. I call it 'Bambi'.
Speaking of CNY, I have now accumulated RM950 and counting. Looks like a prosperous year ahead.

Never meant to be
a torment that is never ending,
when thoughts of suicide and hanging,
start to play inside my head...
You'll never be there when I fall,
you never pick up when I call,
but still you're there, standing tall,
and I'd rather not feel anything at all...
Cause I always thought that you'll be there,
until I realized you don't care,
If this feeling isn't something we share,
I'd rather be left alone...
The Journey of a Thousand Miles
Hello, long time no see.
Missed me? Hopefully not...
Anyway, Form 4 life is more stressful than I thought it would be.
I'm not even past the 1st chapter and I Hate Add Maths already. I should probably get tuition for that.
Also, I'm champion for MSSD (Chess) yet again. 3 years and counting.
Hoping to play chess for Perak again this year (which would make it 5 years of dedicated service to the state)
And the reason I haven't been updating my blog or answering your emails is because my laptop crashed and I was without internet for a whole bloody WEEK!!!
Met my last ex girlfriend recently - She's not talking to me anymore
Haven't met my crush in ages - She's not talking to me either
What else happened? Oh yeah...
I spent my birthday at my uncle's bar, drinking and dancing. A kid couldn't ask for more. Got a decent number of birthday wishes. I love my friends

We are Divided
As a result, we have 2 discipline masters are teaching Physics and Sejarah respectively.
None of the hot teachers are teaching us either.
Sucks to be in 4sc6
It seems that I have been separated from most of my friends. I'll just have to make new ones.
But on the bright side, this class is the perfect base of operations for me, with plenty of soldiers to fuel my new army.

The Burning Light
So far, all I've done includes listening to deadpan speeches, playing Truth or Dare(no one takes the 'Dare' option anymore), silently insulting the teachers and (hilariously) listening to the teachers insult one another*
Also, I'll be applying for prefectship tomorrow. Wish me luck. The prospect of having to explain myself in front of an EXCO board doesn't exactly make me all warm and fuzzy inside.
(They're not too bad actually...so far)
*Refers to the incident in which Mr. Rajan announced in front of the whole Form 4 student body of how SMI's teachers are damn (f)ugly and how he feels like vomiting at the very sight of them
(May have stretched the facts a little)

Yesterday and Today
I didn't stay for the rally though. Left at 7:30 p.m
Today, I went to church's first Youth fellowship of the year 2009. Pleasant enough, until it started to rain. Also, it turns out that I'm hardly the only person who can play 'River flows in You' by Yiruma
The fact that school begins tomorrow does not help my state of mind. Currently, I am downright angry and depressed and seriously NOT looking forward to the new year.
I'm probably gonna have to go for tuition next year. My PMR results doesn't exactly inspire much confidence in my academics

Fallen
Went for a barbecue last night at church.
As usual, I slept through the entire afternoon and woke up late.
Then stumbled into church and didn't really wake up till the food was ready.
Had marshmallows with honey and butter...and 2 chicken wings which was probably undercooked. Lots of sausages and a lone potato
The days go by so fast now...
Just got my PMR results - 5 A's 2 B's (for BM and Geography)
Which is quite satisfactory since I only studied for about a week+ and played chess most of the time (I even went to a tournament the day before PMR)
Still, hoping to get into the Science stream. Maybe I'll take IT or Accounting.
My future is unclear

Stand alone
Last night, I went to my church for the Christmas service. It was then confirmed that after the Youth Camp(which I did not attend)...that everyone has already forgotten about me.
But who cares right?
Anyway, holidays are coming to an end. Haven't really achieved what I wanted to...but I'm not really complaining. Just sad.
Screw new year resolutions, I'm not in the mood anymore.

Party like a Rockstar
Thanks to my dad and uncle, I got drunk for the very first time. I'm probably still under the influence right now...
So, anyway...
I was seated with my dad, my uncle and his wife, together with the coolest guys and the hottest girls in the club.
The live band performance was something else. The lead singer was excellent - damn good voice, high entertainment value, 7 ear rings and he has grandchildren
...
WHAT?!
Anyway, anyway,
in the band, there were also 2 guitarists who were formally with the Alleycats(Malaysian rock band - way, way before my time)
I had around 4 beers. And somehow managed to keep my presence of mind.
So, halfway through, everyone started dancing(including my dad - how embarrassing). There was this super tall, super hot, Russian supermodel seating next to me. After talking with her for a while - which I would never have done if I was sober - she leaned forward and asked me: Are you drunk yet?
I was still a little shy so I told her I wasn't. And I suddenly realized that I would probably never have the chance to dance with someone like her during my teenage years again. So I pulled every ounce of Dutch courage I could, and said: Actually... Yeah, I am drunk. Do you wanna dance?
She said yes
(Note: Dutch courage means false bravery instilled by alcohol)
I have never danced before. So I probably didn't manage to impress her too much in that department. She, on the other hand, was a natural dancer(trained or untrained...I'm not sure)
I should also mention that she has a boyfriend already, who is totally cool and didn't mind me hitting on her.
Her name was Anna
Also, made another friend. She wouldn't tell me her real name, cause all her friends call her 'Ika'. I hear she was voted one of the Top 20 most glamorous women in Malaysia by GLAM magazine.
I should go out more often

Cultural revolution
So,
I made a FACEBOOK account, which is like, so much more 'happening'
*Happening - a good descriptive word I picked up at Youth Camp many years ago. Refers to a person, place or event that is considered popular by teenagers(No one cares what old people think)
Also see:
*Punked - another word I learned at Youth Camp to describe a situation in which you were totally fooled, cheated, played out, taken in, conned or suckered by a more intelligent person than yourself
"You got PUNKED!!!"
I probably most of that stuff up...I'm bored. So sue me.
Speaking of Youth Camp, I am guaranteed NOT going this December

Sorry I haven't been able to post on you for quite some time, cause I've been away in KL
Miss me?
*First sign of madness - talking to your blog*
Anyway, I went down for 2 chess tournaments(UIA and UITM), in which I only got an average score...and nearly lost my handphone in the process
-ate sushi and pizza for the first time in months
I would not be able to survive a single day as a vegetarian...thought you people might want to know
ANYWAY, I'll be going to KL again next month for the National Juniors and KL open
*boredom kills*
ALSO, got a 'date' this Thursday...maybe my life isn't a total waste after all.
Apart from that, my social life is still as dull as the Wall Street Journal(which is, contrary to popular belief...not that boring)

A shadow on glass
I would at least like to know when my holidays officially begin
But that doesn't matter, cause I don't go to school anymore
I'm staying right here at home, playing chess, writing piano songs and messing around with my webcam(lol)
Been having weird dreams lately, which I do not care on elaborating on...
Anyhow, still haven't been to MYF in a long, long time...
I wonder how they're doing without me
Haven't been in the mood for SMSing either...maybe I'm clinically depressed
I should go out more often

Apart from that, today was kinda boring(as usual)
It seems I've been banned from playing the school piano for some reason known only to God and MISS Corrine Mah
Spent the whole day talking. And talking. And talking.
My brain cells have been reduced by 20% since PMR(which is not a bad thing...since I hardly use them)
Also, looks like I won't be going for Youth until sometime next year(...)
Youth camp doesn't look like a possibilty for me either

which is strange, cause I usually dislike songs of this genre. Anyhow, she managed to look incredibly sexy in her video...even though I don't think she's particularly pretty
Does that make me shallow?

Besides that, I'll be going to Chess tournaments this whole month AND next month...which means NO Youth Fellowship, NO Youth Camp and NO going out for a movie with my favourite girl(you know who you are...lawl)

Carnivale du Freake
Having said that, I must admit that it was kinda fun. I met alot of friends that I haven't seen in a while like Vilaiwan, Peiqi, Sue Jean, Paveena and Yen Fong. Most of my time there was spent with either Yen Fong or Jane and the Form 4 group. I even managed to get a free meal from the SMC Rangers(you girls rock)
Apart from that:
-Vilaiwan dared me to try the flying fox...in the end I didn't do it, because I found that being tied up and thrown out a window was disgraceful...NOT because I have a fear of heights
-I held a handful of worms for 10 seconds and got 3 sweets. Also, I adopted one of the worms(true story) but didn't manage to name it cause Yen Fong hates worms and Paveena was hungry(she had already eaten a worm before I got there)...so I disowned the worm and returned it to the stall
-I found out that Peiqi is actually really shy in real life...
-All my guy friends either went home or to Parade, leaving me alone with the girls, which could have been a good thing
-Thomas Liew can't beat me in arm wrestling(HAHAHA)...but I can't win either
-TradiMode seriously rocks! Loving their music. My friend did really well, even though she told me she was kinda(very?)nervous. Didn't get to talk to her very much though...
-New friends made: Eva, Tracy, Stephanie Wang, Vivian Cheah and a few others whose names I never got
-Finally, I got thrown out by the security guard cause I was sitting in her chair with my legs crossed(another true story). To avoid confrontation, I left and waited for my dad under the hot sun(I have a slight tan...bye bye emo vampire look)
It could have been worse

Anyway, my favourite girl is going off on some school field trip, leaving me by my lonesome

Screaming bloody murder
Everything looks boring nowadays
*poke poke*
-Me and my friends made all these plans for after PMR, but now we're all too lazy to do any of it
-Went to a semi-National tournament. Played in the open category - got 4 1/2 points over 7
-Played DotA properly at a Cyber cafe for the first time(usually I get slaughtered). Even got to pwn Nagenderan a few times with bloody Goblin Techies(what an idiot)
Anyway, there's some carnival at Main Convent, a chance for me to revive my social life. Like they say...never miss an opportunity

Deus ex Machina
Anyway, forget that...
Today is a Sunday, so that means I'll be going to Youth, which is (since PMR trials)the only social activity I engage in for the whole bloody week
Speaking of 'Youth'
On Friday, I found out that I couldn't play in Theophiloas' Band for SMI's 6th Form night cause I was too young. I despise being discriminated for my age. You think I can help it if I'm younger??
So it looks like I'll be spending my holidays studying and alone(sad)

Anyway, just started my latest project, which is: Writing a novel
But due to the pressures of a certain government exam, that dream may have to be put on hold
STUFF I WANNA DO AFTER PMR:
-Watch Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion
-Get a PSP
-Fix my PS2
-Play DotA and CS for hours and hours
-SLEEP
-Finish my novel
Oh yeah, just found out that the girl I like has a boyfriend...not too sure when THAT happened

When it rains...
-Anyway, for those of you who don't already know - My PMR trial exam results totally went down every drain, sink and toilet bowl in history.
(By the way...that's a bad thing)
-One of my best friends has been suspended from school for the past 2 weeks...so school is like, bloody boring
-But worse of all, my girlfriend broke up with me last Thursday. I'm still hurting, and said some really unimaginably stupid things so she's not talking to me anymore
AND I STILL HAVE TO STUDY. WAAAARRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!

Living on Ground Zero
...
Anyway, just finished my PMR trials. I think I did ok, but I won't worry about that until I get the results back
(Changes the subject)
Ah yes...SMI DRAMA NIGHT!!!!
Which brought the meaning of the word 'boredom' to an entirely different level. We Michaelians should be proud.
Anyway, the acting was below expectation, the lead actress was misunderstood most of the time, the music sounded more or less the same, the storyline was poorly conceived and the ending was anti-climatic. Did I miss anything out?
(I should be a food critic...)
She's coming back on the 25th, can't wait to see her.
I wanna watch Wall.E (looks cute)

A day in the Life
Everyone was kinda depressed over the death of Korean student Kwok Min, cause he'd been to our Youth Fellowship a few times already and it came as a shock to hear about it on the news
Personally, I never really knew him...but from what I've heard, he was a good guy
Also, my girlfriend went back to Hong Kong to see her parents...so I'm all alone here, bored out of my mind
Bad day

Battle for the De La Salle
My team was named SMI A, and was hand-picked from the very best St. Michael's had to offer. The team was:
Board 1: Mark Siew
Board 2: Lau Tuck Khein
Board 3: James w. Foong
Board 4: Tan Kian
Our 1st round was against our long standing rivals, ACS(Anglo-Chinese School). I drew against Lawrence Teoh(from a winning position dammit) whereas my other team mates got a win, a loss and another draw. So the final score was 2-2 which meant that the championship would be decided by the next 4 rounds.
We had the advantage, because even though ACS had Lawrence Teoh, Yew Keng Heng and Issac Teoh...their 2nd Board player was an unknown from MY school, who lost too many of his games (this was a game-point tournament)
Needless to say, both teams wiped out all other opposition. After our first round, we won EVERY SINGLE ONE OF OUR GAMES. I was so freakin happy.
In the end, I had to playoff with Lawrence for the Best Board trophy and James had to fight Issac. The time control was 5 minutes. Lawrence was seriously winning but lost on time control (I couldn't believe it). James lost to Issac.
So, SMI A took the Champions Trophy with the Best 1st Board and Best 2nd Board titles. ACS took 2nd place with Best 3rd Board and Best 4th Board
Apart from Lawrence, it was a relatively simple tournament for me

MSSM 2008 - Season Finale (Part 2)
Oh yeah...
Day 2 -
I did not sleep well the previous night. One of the teachers kept us awake by telling ghost stories (that's called sabotage!)
Anyway, the tournament hasn't even started yet so we went to check out some of the Museums. But first, we went shopping for souvenirs and stuff. Then we visited all of those places you usually only see in your sejarah textbooks. So it was kinda cool seeing all that history. Anyway, we came, we saw, we made a hell of a lot of noise and we took lots of pictures...which I have not recieved yet.
Oh yeah, we (which includes Myself, Yit San, Yit Ho, Mi Yen, Lawrence, Siew Ting, Kay Lynn and Kong Liang) took a photo with Chef Wan!...which I have not recieved either.
I can't remember what I ate...but I remember eating alot. I was so seriously sick by the time I got back on the bus.
To be continued again - under time pressure right now

MSSM 2008 - Season Finale (Part 1)
This is a more detailed account of what happened
Day 1 -
I arrived at PPD (Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah) early in the morning, only half-awake and looking forward to sleeping on the bus. I honestly can't remember what happened during the bus ride, as the dramatic events that followed seemed to have wiped out most of my memory. Anyway, we arrived at Melaka around 6 hours later. We stayed and slept at SMK Teluk Mas when we weren't at the Tournament Hall or going on outings. Our teachers were great, making sure we had plenty of rest and relaxation before the fight (we arrived 2 days before the tournament actually started)
I was feeling pretty good, as our Under-15 team has never been stronger. We had Fong Yit San, Fong Yit Ho, Helmi Zakaria and of course, myself. We were labeled the 'Dream Team' by our teachers, an illusion which would soon be shattered...
Anyway, I went sight-seeing with the rest of the team. On the first night we went on a ride on the 'Eye of Melaka' It gave us an amazing view of downtown Melaka, which is even more spectacular at night. Dinner was McDonalds
I tried my best to enjoy myself, as the days ahead would definitely not be so kind...

I came, I saw...
I was taking 6th Kyu, skipping the 8th and 7th Kyu tests. My partner was Michelle, who was also taking 6th Kyu.
The techniques (Waza)we had to do were:
-Shomen Uchi Daiikyo
-Katatedori Shihonage
-and Suwariwaza Kyoku-Ho
Anyway, I didn't do as well as I hoped (I was so blur)but I think we still passed the test. Our examiner was Nakamoto-sensei, who watched sternly as we executed our moves.
This was my very first grading exam, I seriously hope I passed

Blood, Sweat & Tears
Anyway, I was put in Group 9 with old-timers Christopher, Carl Cheong and Jenny Cheng. There were also these 2 girls whom I've never seen before. So overall, we were a solid team with a good mix of experience and new blood.
Our first game was called H.U.G.O (How You Go On?), where we had to throw and catch water balloons using a cloth over a volleyball net against the opposing team (under Jane Lam). I honestly can't comprehend the name of this game.
The second game was Capture the Flag. The objective was simple: Run to the other side of the field, capture your enemy's flag and make it back alive...
We fought against Kerry's team. Kerry is a good strategist, and he organized an entire group of freshies effectively while he guarded his flag with water balloons. Our team had fast runners like myself and Carl, but we were all over the place. Amidst all the confusion, we were defeated by Kerry and his team.
The 3rd game was BUTT. I feel slightly uncomfortable describing the details of this particular game. But our team won (I think...)
After this, Water Games was interupted by heavy rain. So, rather than let all the water balloons go to waste...we assaulted one another in a free-for-all battle with no rules and no regrets!
In the end, the heavy rain turned into a violent storm. Water Games was cancelled due to the fact that one of the tents had collapsed. Hot milo was provided by the church.
I had a good time

MSSM 08 - Love & Chess
Anyway, plenty has happened since last year...some good, some bad. But thankfully, my brain only seems to remember the good stuff.
So the current major event of my life is the MSSM, which ended last week.
-It started with me representing my school (St. Michael's Institution) to the MSSD, where I got Champion ahead of such tough competitors such as James William Foong and Mohd. Azam, so needless to say...I was kinda proud of myself.
-Then there was MSSD selection, something which has never happened before. Azam was not able to come, and I defeated James to earn my status as the Under-15 Champion of Kinta Utara.
-MSSPK, which almost killed me, especially after 2 brothers (insanely strong, diehard chess players) from Selangor migrated to Perak and played in my category. I lost to the younger one (Fong Yit San), and drew with the older brother (Fong Yit Ho), securing my place as number 3. Abdul Rahman, who got 3rd place in the Nationals last year (2007) was unfortunately knocked out of the top 8.
-MSSPK Selection, which was slightly easier...since there were 2 players who weren't as strong as the rest of us. The top 6 would represent Perak to the MSSM. I drew with both brothers, which put me in 3rd place...again.
-Centralized Training, where we trained for the final battle at MSSM Melaka. We had group bonding activities, which was kinda fun. I was put in the Team Category alongside the two brothers. We were allies at last!
-MSSM, where I experieced heartbreak too severe to describe. Anyway, our team did alright, 4th place ahead of Kuala Lumpur. I only got 3 points over 7, having drew 4 games! (which is a record for me). I wish we had done better...we were aiming for the Gold medal this year.
-So having failed in Love and Chess...I began the long journey back to Ipoh. I slept most of the way.
Pictures are on their way...my friends haven't sent them to me yet
