And I quote:

                           Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi was the man who single-handedly liberated India from the the British Empire. And he achieved all this without the use of violence. Here are some of his quotes:

1) Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.

2) I believe in equality for everyone, except reporters and photographers.

3) I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent

4) Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.

5) The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.

6) Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it.

7) What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy?

NAG 2010 (photos)

NAG 2010

SUCCESS!!
I got 4th place for the National Age Group this year.
Which means I'm qualified to play in the Malaysian national team for ASEAN in Manila, Philippines.

Unfortunately, ASEAN is in June...only 2 months before my SPM trials. XD
Gonna fail my exams for sure. (-_-")

Anyway, pictures from NAG in my next post.
Credits for the photos go to Gavin Fong and Patrick Lim

Death by Weather

DAMN. The heat is unbearable. Did hell like...freeze over?

Global warming used to be something I read in a textbook.
Now, our planet has become one big frying pan

...

Anyway, this holiday has been mostly uneventful.
Didn't get as much money for CNY as I had hoped
(means no iPhone this year)
and I spent Valentine's Day all alone

It always rains on the unloved *Sigh*

"Speaking of rain, it doesn't rain enough nowadays"

ANYWAY,
I went out with my CellGroup to visit each other's houses for CNY. It was badly organized on my part. Sorry for the confusion everyone. Only me, WenJune, Samuel, Andrea, Judith and Elaine ended up going. We all somehow managed to fit in one car...

I found out that WenJune actually lives right next door to my grandmother. XD. I played on her PS3 for the very first time.

And the game I played was...

Call Of Duty: Nazi Zombies. Awesome game.

Better than killing zombies...
Better than killing Nazis...

I killed...NAZI ZOMBIES!!!

She also has a RM800 teddybear... (0_O)

Also visited Judith's house. Played on her PS2. My Tekkan skills have degraded alot over the past 2 years. I used to be able to memorize all the characters and their attacks
(which explains why I fail my school exams)

Visited Elaine's house shortly. Played Blackjack and managed to lose around RM5. (-_-")

Some of us followed Elaine to badminton practice which was held in some secret facility (LOL) somewhere in the middle of the jungles of Jelapang.

And then I went home.
And slept until evening

Ideas for Commonwealth Essay Competition

I'm pretty amazed at how many people from around the world found my blog by searching for this post. If you happen to be reading this, drop a comment here or in the chatbox, just so I know you were here. Enjoy

1. What technological invention(s) would most improve life in your community?
Probably the gas chamber. Pity the Germans already discovered it. Maybe I could reintroduce it to society in a more casual, people-friendly way

2. The mad scientist.
Hmm...I'm looking for a variety of post-apocalyptic themes. From zombies to mutants to giant robots

3. What positive steps can you or I start to take to tackle climate change?
I quote Joseph Stalin: Death is the solution to all problems. No man...no problem.

4. The day the computer started misbehaving.
I handcuffed it to the bed and brought out my whip...kinky. XD

5. "Science never solves a problem without creating ten more." (George Bernard Shaw)
Said the man who invented the atomic bomb. Application for citizenship in Japan was DENIED

6. An adventure in space.
Zombies in space anyone?

7. What is knowledge? Who owns it? How can it best be taught or transmitted?
Knowledge is power. Power = Money. The Jews own it. And they transmit it the same way they transmit STDs and AIDS

8. A 'eureka' moment.
"I found my car keys"

9. Is your generation wiser than your grandparents' generation?
We may be SMARTER. But I think they're definitely WISER. Excluding those having dementia and other psychological diseases.

10. Welcome to my Utopia!
A beautiful place filled with chess sets, Japanese girls, cats and communist literature...

Sigh. I don't even know where to begin

Thank You Vivian Cheah...

...for the awesome birthday present

Tuesday, February 09, 2010

And I quote:

                   Joseph Stalin

Some of the most interesting (and un-democratic) quotes by the former dictator of the Soviet Union.

1) Death is the solution to all problems. No man...no problem.

2) Gratitude is a sickness suffered by dogs

3) Ideas are more powerful than guns. We would not let our enemies have guns, why should we let them have ideas?

4) The death of one man is a tragedy. The death of millions is a statistic.

5) The people who cast the votes don't decide an election. The people who count the votes do.

6) The Pope? How many divisions has he got?

7) When we hang the capitalists they will sell us the rope we use

Hitlist

Been playing some new songs on the piano.
Will make the videos soon. XD

-Wedding Dress by Taeyang
-Eternity (Final Fantasy X-2)
-Tell Me Why by Backstreet Boys
-Your Call by Secondhand Serenade
-Fireflies by Owl City
-Bohemian Rhapsody

Why did I wake up this morning?

ARRRRGHHH *cough*

Got a sorethroat now...damn weather. Can hardly breath. *gasp*

Anyway, I observed something interesting in school :

43 boys, after 17 years of upbringing and a few million years of evolution...are terrified of a single bee commiting suicide multiple times against the class ceiling fan. (-_-)

Charles Darwin would be disappointed...

On the brightside, Judith's party is tomorrow.
Which reminds me...I haven't finished her present yet. XD

So much to do, so little time. Sigh

Also, I'm quite certain I would run screaming if confronted with 10 million fireflies
I hate insects...and there's a huge ******* cicada flying around outside my house every morning. Damn

Purple is Not Gay!

Thanks to someone, looks like I'm blogging again. XD.
For those of you still reading my blog, welcome back.

I actually stopped blogging because I've officially run out of useful and/or witty things to say. My posts have become...rather lame and uninteresting. For that I blame my school for not providing me with a proper education, I blame the government for limiting almost all the interesting topics I can blog about...and I blame society in general for being too damn boring.

But there is one thing I've learned from my Pendidikan Moral teacher (and Obama), which is not to blame anyone but myself. So yes, I also blame myself. LOL

Now that I've clarified this (and put you all to sleep again)... you can expect more posts from this blog for the coming months

*WARNING: Cultural reference*

In my next posting, readers can expect a lame video (more like...6 lame videos) and some retarded jokes involving a vampire, a werewolf and and their interracial-loving girlfriend

"Oh yeah, how is school?"

School is...well...school.
I didn't miss it during the holidays, and I probably never will.
I do miss certain friends though...especially those awesome people who celebrated my birthday with me on the 16th.

National Junior 2009

Just finished playing the National Junior Championship 2009 at Pusat Kecemerlangan Cochrane.

Didn't do that well - got 6/9 points and 12th placing.
Also the 2nd Best Under-16

Bloody tired after one whole week of playing nothing but chess.
Been eating alot of fastfood recently. I think I'm fat now...

Missed Youth Camp again this year.
Pity. It looked like so much fun...

Maybe I'll go for Jenny's Xmas party...

School is starting again soon
(I should probably return my textbooks too) XD

This is why I play chess...

Forevermore

In KL now.
Been here for the past week or so.

As some of you may have guessed,
I'm playing a chess competition here.

Bored out of my mind right now.
And the internet connection is a bitch.
Can't wait to get back to Ipoh and catch a movie with some friends.

Oh yeah, changed the song on my blog.
Found this track while watching some Animatrix AMVs on YouTube.
Thought it was kinda cool. So I put it here. XD

I can't think of anything else to say right now.
I actually ran out of things to say after the first paragraph...

Enjoy your holidays

All Messed Up

Currently into reading horror manga. And I'm feeling very disturbed right now. These Japanese comics really screw with your head. I don't think I can turn the lights off tonight...

So that you can experience it for yourself, check out:  http://www.onemanga.com/directory/horror/

I recommend School Mermaid, Uzumaki, BioMeat, Jisatsu Circle, Highschool of the Dead, Parasyte and Alive!
There's another one, School Days...which starts out really sweet in the beginning, then turns out to be very disturbing in the last two chapters

Very addictive. Read at your own risk

UPSI Open

Just finished playing the UPSI Open in Tanjung Malim.

I did quite well this time, winning against this year's National Master, Evan Timothy Capel in Round 4.

Check out: GiloCatur and look for my name. Haha

Also drew against former National Master, Kamalariffin in Round 5.
And lost to Abdullah Che Hassan in Round 6.

Got 8th place and RM100 + Trophy.

Dashboard Confessional - Vindicated

Hope dangles on a string
Like slow spinning redemption
Winding in and winding out
The shine of it has caught my eye

And roped me in
So mesmerizing, so hypnotizing
I am captivated

[Chorus]
I am Vindicated
I am selfish
I am wrong
I am right
I swear I'm right
I swear I knew it all along

And I am flawed
But I am cleaning up so well
I am seeing in me now the things you swore you saw yourself

So clear
Like the diamond in your ring
Cut to mirror your intentions
Oversized and overwhelmed
The shine of which has caught my eye

And rendered me so isolated, so motivated
I am certain now that

[Chorus]

So turn
Up the corners of your lips
Part them and feel my finger tips
Trace the moment, fall forever

Defense is paper thin
Just one touch and I'd be in
Too deep now to ever swim against the current

So let me slip away [3x]
So let me slip against the current
So let me slip away [4x]

[Chorus]

Slight hope
It dangles on a string
Like slow spinning redemption
